Manor Ceramics specialises in ceramic printing using transfers (or decals) and our new print bureau service is especially designed for businesses and hobby potters.

Whether you require a regular supply of colour print, or small runs for market research, sampling or individual projects, we can supply high quality full colour transfers for application onto a wide range of ceramic glazed surfaces, from tiles to tableware.

Recent developments in computer technology and ceramic colour production now allow ceramic printing to be carried out easily and quickly at near-photographic quality. We use dedicated printers with a CMYK process printing system to produce transfer sheets of A3 (420 by 297mm) size, with an effective print area of 400 by 286mm. We use 2 printer formats, one for cadmium reds and yellows and the other for more traditional magenta-based colours. Printing is output at 400dpi and print is, where applicable, proofed and colour matched to the customer`s satisfaction by firing samples in our in-house conveyor or front-loading kilns.

We have access to a variety of covercoat mediums, but almost all our print is supplied with a standard clear covercoat or a yellow-stained fluxed covercoat for harder glaze surfaces. We are always happy to advise and can conduct simple tests on your ware to ensure a compatible print is supplied. Typical turnaround times are 5-10 days after approval of proofs/samples.
Pricing is based on an initial (one-off) artwork and proofing charge and a per sheet price. Minimum order quantity is one sheet (typically 4 to 5 full cover prints for a standard mug).
